Identity Management: Account Claiming
Claiming Your BroncoID Account
Note: If you are new user, read the eHelp Account Claiming Info page for specific details on your particular account claiming process before following the directions below to claim your account.
- Go to the Identity Management System: Account Claiming page.
- The Account Claiming login page will appear.
- Type in your BroncoNumber.
- Enter your Claim Code.
Note: Your claim code is your birth date (YYMMDD). - Click Continue.
- The Identity Verification and BroncoPassword Creation sections will appear.
- Enter the correct responses to all identity-verification questions (the questions in the sample below may not be the same questions as the ones you are asked).
- Enter a BroncoPassword that meets the provided password guidelines.
- Retype BroncoPassword to ensure accuracy.
- A green checkmark will appear to the right of the new password box if your BroncoPassword meets the password guidelines.
- Click Continue.
- The CPP Appropriate Use Policy for Information Technology will appear.
- You will need to read through the policy.
- Click the "I Accept" button at the bottom of the page.
Note: If you want a copy of the CPP Appropriate Use Policy for Information Technology, click the Print button before clicking the "I Accept" button.
- The CPP Confidentiality Statement will appear.
- You will need to read through the Statement.
- Click the "I Accept" button at the bottom of the page.
Note: If you want a copy of the CPP Confidentiality Statement, click the Print button before clicking the "I Accept" button.
- A confirmation screen will appear, stating that you have successfully identified yourself and set a password to use with the BroncoName that will be received at the end of this process.
- Click Continue.
- Click Continue.
- The Secret Questions set-up page will appear.
- Select the number of secret questions (three is the minimum and five is the maximum) you’d like to create as protection for your BroncoPassword by choosing that number from the drop-down list.
- Enter the appropriate number of questions (either by choosing from the list of questions provided or by entering your own) along with the corresponding answers.
- Click Continue.
- A confirmation window will appear.
- If you would like to enable the SMS Text Message reset option, click the Set up SMS button.
Note: The SMS Password Reset Option allows you to send a reset token to your mobile device if you have forgotten your BroncoPassword. - Or, click the Finish without SMS setup button.
- If you would like to enable the SMS Text Message reset option, click the Set up SMS button.
SMS Password Set-Up/Reset Option
- If you're not already logged into the Identity Management page, go to https://apps.cpp.edu/idm/default.aspx.
- Click My Control Panel.
- Log in with your BroncoName and BroncoPassword.
- Click the Account Tab.
- Scroll down to the Set SMS Password Recovery section.
- Or, if you clicked the Set Up SMS button, the SMS Password set-up page will appear.
- If a mobile phone number already exists for you in BroncoDirect, you can select the Use Number in BroncoDirect option.
- Or, if the mobile phone number you have listed in BroncoDirect is incorrect or if you prefer to use a different mobile phone number, click the Use Other Phone Number radio button.
- Enter the ten-digit phone number.
Note: This option is not available to International mobile phones.
- Enter the ten-digit phone number.
- Click Continue.
- The identity claiming process is complete when you see the Success screen.
